Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are willing and able to read, understand, and sign a written consent form in English.
- You are able to read and write in English.
- Your doctor has determined that you are medically suitable to receive either nivolumab or pembrolizumab, either on its own or combined with other approved treatments.
- You have a locally advanced or advanced/spreading solid tumor cancer for which nivolumab or pembrolizumab is an officially approved treatment.
- You are either about to start treatment with nivolumab or pembrolizumab for the first time (and have not yet begun), OR you are already receiving one of these treatments (or a similar immunotherapy) and are willing to switch to nivolumab or pembrolizumab if it is approved for your cancer type.
- If you are currently receiving nivolumab combined with another immunotherapy drug called ipilimumab as an initial treatment, you may be eligible to join once you move into the maintenance phase of treatment (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously had a serious allergic reaction to nivolumab or pembrolizumab, or to any of their ingredients.
- You have had a severe allergic reaction (Grade 3 or higher) to nivolumab or pembrolizumab or any of their components (confirm with trial site).
- You have previously received a transplant of an organ or tissue from another person.
- You are planning to use nivolumab or pembrolizumab as a treatment before surgery (neoadjuvant therapy) — though you may be considered for the trial later, when starting treatment after surgery (confirm with trial site).
- You are being treated with a specific combination of nivolumab and ipilimumab as a long-term maintenance treatment for lung cancer under certain treatment plans (confirm with trial site).
