Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 19 and 80 years old at the time of joining the trial
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and are not currently using insulin
- People whose diabetes is being managed with GLP-1 agonist medications, other diabetes tablets, and/or lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise
- People whose diabetes treatment has stayed the same for at least 3 months with no changes
- People whose HbA1c blood sugar level is between 7.5% and 10.0% (a measure of average blood sugar over the past few months)
- People who are willing to wear a small continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device on their body throughout the trial
- People who are willing to install and use a connected app on their personal smartphone, with ongoing access to WiFi or mobile data
- People who are able to read and write Korean, as assessed by the trial investigator
- People who are willing to use an accepted form of contraception (such as a sterile status, an intrauterine device, or a barrier method used together with spermicide) until the end of the trial
- People who have been fully informed about the trial and are voluntarily agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have type 1 diabetes
- People who have gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy)
- People who have had their pancreas surgically removed
- People who have used insulin continuously or on and off for 7 or more days within the past 3 months
- People who have received steroid treatment (by mouth or through a drip) within the past month
- People who have had a serious infection, surgery (planned or completed), or severe injury within the past 3 months
- People who have been diagnosed with cancer within the past year (thyroid cancer may be an exception — confirm with trial site)
- People currently on kidney dialysis (haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis), or whose kidneys are functioning at a very low level (eGFR below 30 mL/min/1.73m²)
- People who cannot avoid certain other treatments or devices during the trial, including a different CGM device, X-ray/MRI/CT scans, radiofrequency heat therapy, implanted devices such as pacemakers, immune-suppressing medications, steroids, intravenous vitamins, cancer treatments, dialysis, or insulin therapy
- People with an uncontrolled thyroid condition or a significant hormonal disorder such as Cushing's syndrome or phaeochromocytoma
- People who have had a severe allergic reaction to skin adhesives, such as difficulty breathing, a severe rash, or swelling
- People who have donated whole blood in the past 60 days, donated blood components (apheresis) in the past 30 days, or received a blood transfusion in the past 90 days before the device is applied
- People whom the trial investigator judges to be unable to safely manage and use the CGM device
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are planning to become pregnant within the next year
- People whom the trial investigator considers unsuitable for the trial for any other reason
