Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 30 and 65 years old
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 1 year
- Your type 2 diabetes is currently under control
- You are able to walk on your own without using any walking aids (such as a cane or walker)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a very flat foot or very high-arched foot, as measured by a specific foot assessment tool called the Foot Posture Index-6 (confirm with trial site)
- You have a history of plantar fasciitis (pain and inflammation on the bottom of the heel)
- You have an open sore or wound on the bottom of your foot
- You have nerve damage in your feet or legs (peripheral neuropathy)
- You have been diagnosed with poor blood circulation in your legs or feet
- You have had surgery on or broken a bone in your leg or foot within the last year
- You have a joint or connective tissue condition that affects your soft tissues (such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus)
- You have a neurological condition or a diagnosed cognitive (thinking or memory) disorder
- You are currently pregnant
- You have any type of diabetes other than type 2
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is over 30, which is classified as obese
- You have a serious heart or lung condition, including heart failure, a previous heart attack, or severe asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
