Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 years or older, both men and women
- People who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- People who have given written agreement to take part in the study
- People who do not have any conditions currently needing emergency medical care
- People who started taking a medication called luseogliflozin between 7 and 30 days before joining the trial, as part of their usual medical care and in line with prescribing guidelines approved in the Russian Federation
- People who have recent test results (no older than 15 days from when luseogliflozin was started) for blood sugar levels (HbA1c), kidney function (eGFR), blood pressure, and body weight
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a known allergy or sensitivity to luseogliflozin or any ingredients in the medication Lusefi®
- People with type 1 diabetes
- People whose type 2 diabetes is currently severely uncontrolled (decompensated)
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning to become pregnant during the study, or within at least two months after the study ends
- People with severe kidney disease (kidney filtration rate below 30 mL/min/1.73 m²), end-stage kidney disease, or those on dialysis
- People who have experienced diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic coma, or a state close to diabetic coma
- People currently dealing with a serious infection, or who are in a pre- or post-surgery period, or have a severe injury
- People with a current or past cancer diagnosis within the last 5 years — with the exception of certain successfully treated skin cancers or early-stage cervical cancer (confirm with trial site)
- People with a current or suspected urinary tract infection
- People with other health conditions that the trial doctor believes could significantly affect the study results (confirm with trial site)
- People who are unlikely to follow the treatment plan or cooperate with the trial team
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial within the past 3 months (or 6 months if that trial involved a biological medicine), or who are currently in another trial
