Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Your child is older than 3 years and younger than 8 years old (up to 7 years and 11 months)
  • Your child has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), confirmed using a specific diagnostic interview tool
  • Your child has significant sleep problems, as shown by a score of 30 or more on a parent-completed sleep questionnaire and a moderate or higher rating of sleep problem severity

  • The parent or caregiver can read and speak English well, as all study materials are only available in English

Who may not be able to join:

  • Children who have a serious medical condition or a known medical reason for their sleep problems (for example, seizures during the night, or ongoing digestive issues such as acid reflux or constipation)
  • Children who have a psychiatric (mental health) condition or serious behavioural difficulties that require a different type of treatment
  • Children who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, abnormal leg movements during sleep, or a body-clock-related sleep disorder (such as falling asleep or waking much later or earlier than normal)
  • Children whose parents or caregivers do not speak and read English, because all study materials are only available in English
