Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Children who are between about 4 and 12 years old at the time of joining the trial.
  • Children who have been diagnosed with a brain, nervous system, or genetic condition, such as cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, brain injury from lack of oxygen at birth, traumatic brain injury, sensory processing disorder, or a chromosomal or genetic condition.
  • Children who have difficulties in one or more areas such as movement and coordination, processing sensory information, attention or planning, eye movement or vision, communication, managing emotions or behavior, or everyday tasks like dressing or eating.
  • Children who are able to take part in a two-week therapy program that runs about 2.5 hours a day, five days a week.
  • Children who are able to complete assessments before and after the program, either observed by a clinician or reported by a caregiver.
  • A parent or legal guardian must be available to give permission for the child to participate and to help report on how the child is functioning.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Children who have an unstable or sudden medical condition that would make it unsafe to take part in an intensive therapy program.
  • Children who have severe seizures that are not well controlled, or another neurological condition that would interfere with structured therapy activities, as decided by their treating clinician.
  • Children whose behavioral or psychological challenges would make it unsafe to participate in the therapy setting, even with extra support.
  • Children who are unable to attend or finish the full two-week program.
  • Children for whom there would not be enough assessment information before and after the program to measure any changes.
  • Children who are already taking part in another structured therapy program or clinical study that could make it hard to interpret the results of this trial, as decided by the investigator.
