Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with stomach (gastric) cancer, confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue samples
- People who have had surgery to remove part or all of the stomach as a cancer treatment
- People who are willing and able to provide written consent to participate (required for the forward-looking part of the study)
- People for whom complete medical records are available before surgery and for at least 15 days after surgery
- People with no history of any other type of primary cancer
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose stomach surgery was not intended to fully remove the cancer, or who had emergency surgery
- People whose medical records have more than 20% of important data fields missing
- People who had a serious infection or organ failure before their surgery
- People who are unwilling or unable to attend follow-up appointments as required (this applies to the forward-looking part of the study only)
