Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are aged 40 or older but under 70 years old
- You can be male or female
- You were newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and started diabetes medication between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023
Who may not be able to join:
- You have type 1 diabetes or diabetes that developed during pregnancy (gestational diabetes)
- You were taking diabetes medications before you were first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- You are currently pregnant
- You have a pre-existing heart or blood vessel condition, such as coronary heart disease, stroke, a mini-stroke (TIA), or poor circulation in the legs (peripheral artery disease)
- You passed away within 12 months of your first type 2 diabetes diagnosis (confirm with trial site)
- You did not have a medical appointment roughly 12 months after your first type 2 diabetes diagnosis (within a 3-month window either side)
