- You have been diagnosed with a type of Irritable Bowel Syndrome that mainly causes diarrhea (IBS-D), meaning more than 25% of your bowel movements are very loose or watery, and fewer than 25% are hard or lumpy
- During the 2 weeks before joining, your average worst daily belly pain has been rated at least 3 out of 10 on a pain scale

- You have not made any major changes to your diet in the 4 weeks before screening
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a type of IBS that mainly causes constipation, a mix of constipation and diarrhea, or an unclassified type of IBS
- You have a history of inflammatory or immune-related conditions affecting your digestive system (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
- You have a known problem with the speed at which your stomach empties food (confirm with trial site)
