Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 19 years or older at the time of signing the consent form
- People who have been diagnosed with both high blood pressure (essential hypertension) and type 2 diabetes
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose diastolic blood pressure (the lower number in a blood pressure reading) is 110 mmHg or higher at both the screening and the randomisation appointments
- People whose blood pressure readings, taken three times in each arm with at least 2 minutes between each reading, show a difference of 20 mmHg or more in the top number (systolic) or 10 mmHg or more in the bottom number (diastolic) between arms
