  • You have been diagnosed with stomach cancer or cancer at the junction of the stomach and food pipe, confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy), that is HER2-negative (a specific cancer type), and you have not had surgery to remove the cancer
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • Your cancer has spread to the lining of the abdomen (peritoneum), requires a keyhole surgical procedure (laparoscopy) to confirm this, and you do not have a blockage in your stomach or intestines

  • You have significant active heart problems, such as chest pain from heart disease, moderate-to-severe heart failure, serious irregular heartbeat needing medication, or a heart attack in the past 12 months
  • You have a blockage or digestive condition in your upper stomach area that may stop you from properly absorbing one of the study medications
  • You have nerve damage in your hands or feet (beyond a very mild level), though you may still be considered if you only have reduced reflexes (confirm with trial site)

  • Your kidneys are not working well enough, based on specific blood and urine test results

  • You have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C, based on specific blood test results
  • You have a psychiatric (mental health) condition that would make it difficult for you to follow the treatment plan
  • You are allergic to paclitaxel (a chemotherapy drug) or any other ingredient in the study medications
