Who might be able to join this trial:
- Your body mass index (BMI) must be between 18 and 32 (a measure of weight relative to height)
- Your blood must show a low level of a hepatitis B protein called HBsAg (below 100 IU/mL, as measured by a blood test)
- The amount of hepatitis B virus in your blood must be very low or undetectable (below 20 IU/mL)
- You must test negative for a hepatitis B marker called HBeAg (meaning the virus is in a less active state)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a known allergy, or the research team suspects you may be allergic to any ingredient in the study drug
- You have taken immune-suppressing, immune-modifying, or cell-killing medications in the past 6 months, or received a live vaccine in the past month
- You had an infection in the past 2 weeks that needed intravenous (IV) antibiotics, or you currently have an infection that requires treatment
- You have been diagnosed with, or are suspected of having, advanced liver disease where the liver is no longer working properly (decompensated cirrhosis)
- You have or have had a cancerous tumour
- You have a serious condition affecting your heart, lungs, kidneys, blood, metabolism, immune system, mental health, or nervous system
- You test positive for hepatitis C, HIV, or syphilis (based on specific blood tests)
- You are currently breastfeeding or your pregnancy test comes back positive during screening
- The research team has any other concern that they feel makes you unsuitable for the study (confirm with trial site)
