Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with epilepsy and are currently taking medication to control seizures.
- You have not had a cluster of seizures or a prolonged seizure emergency in the 30 days before joining the study.
- You have also been diagnosed with ADHD that is affecting your daily life and functioning.
- You are in good general health, based on your medical history and a physical check-up, including stable heart rate and blood pressure.
- You (or your legal caregiver) are able to give informed consent and can reliably track symptoms and follow the treatment plan.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had an allergic or bad reaction to stimulant medications in the past, including the medication Jornay PM®.
- You have had an active problem with drug or alcohol misuse within the last 30 days.
- Your epilepsy is not well-controlled, or you are having more than four seizures per month on average over the past three months.
- You have been diagnosed with a psychotic illness, or there are concerns about your safety or the safety of others (confirm with trial site).
- You are currently taking stimulant medication to treat your ADHD.
- You have a serious or unstable medical condition such as HIV, liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, or diabetes.
- You have an unstable heart condition, such as an irregular heartbeat or a weakened heart muscle.
- You have taken part in another experimental drug trial within the last 30 days.
- Your estimated IQ is below 70 to a degree that makes standard assessment tools unreliable (confirm with trial site).
- Your caregiver or legal guardian is not able to fully understand or properly consent to the study procedures.
