  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes according to Chinese diagnostic guidelines

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have regularly taken diabetes medications or insulin in the past three months
  • Your fasting blood sugar level is very high (above 16.7 mmol/L)
  • You experience low blood sugar episodes frequently
  • You have had serious sudden diabetes-related complications in the past (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a history of serious long-term diabetes-related damage to blood vessels or nerves
  • You have certain health conditions that could be made worse by exercise, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, joint disease, or low potassium levels
  • You are unable to use a smartphone or wearable device (such as a fitness tracker) on your own
  • You have difficulties with communication or movement that would affect participation
  • You have other serious long-term illnesses that would prevent you from taking part
