Who might be able to join this trial:

For people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS):

• Adults aged 18 or older with a confirmed diagnosis of MS
• People who are aware of and understand their MS diagnosis
• People who are able to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part
• People who are willing and able to attend scheduled visits and complete all required study procedures, including scans and lab tests

For healthy volunteers (people without MS):

• Adults aged 18 or older
• People who are able to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part
• People who are willing and able to attend scheduled visits and complete all required study procedures, including scans and lab tests

Who may not be able to join:

For both people with MS and healthy volunteers:

• People with uncontrolled diabetes or conditions that affect blood sugar levels, or who take medications that affect blood sugar
• People with any other medical condition that the research team considers may make participation unsafe or unsuitable
• People with a known allergy or adverse reaction to the contrast agents used in this study, including gadolinium-based agents or pyruvate
• People who are unable to have an MRI scan for any reason, such as having a permanent pacemaker, severe obesity, or being unable to lie still
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding

Additionally, for healthy volunteers only:

• People with any past or current neurological condition that the research team considers significant
