Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) — either confirmed, probable, or possible — based on medical tests or genetic testing
- You are between 18 and 90 years old
- Your TSC diagnosis may be based on having certain major signs of the condition, such as skin growths on the face, unusual skin patches, tumors in the eyes, brain, heart, or kidneys, or lung problems (confirm with trial site for full details)
- Your TSC diagnosis may also be based on having a combination of smaller, less definitive signs of the condition, such as dental pits, bowel growths, bone cysts, or certain skin markings (confirm with trial site for full details)
- You do not need to have skin lesions to take part, though most people with TSC do
Who may not be able to join:
- You are not able to give your own informed consent to participate
- You have a tendency to form raised, overgrown scars (called keloids) after skin injury
- You have a known allergy to anaesthetics (numbing medications)
