Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are male or female, aged 2 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with Gaucher disease, confirmed through a specific enzyme activity test
  • Your Gaucher disease is currently stable
  • You have been receiving treatment with imiglucerase (Cerezyme®) for at least 2 years, and your dose and schedule have stayed the same for at least the last 6 months (exceptions may apply if there was a drug shortage)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently taking another experimental or trial drug for any condition
  • You have a history of being allergic to carrots

  • You have previously had a reaction during an infusion of Cerezyme® or Ceredase® that was thought to be allergic, or you currently take medication before infusions to prevent such reactions
  • You have HIV, hepatitis B (HBsAg), or hepatitis C
  • You have anemia caused by a deficiency in iron, folic acid, or vitamin B12 that has not been treated or resolved
  • You have another significant health condition that could affect how your body responds to the trial treatment (confirm with trial site)
