Who might be able to join this trial:
Group A (Biopsy Group):
- You have been recently diagnosed, or are expected to be diagnosed, with a kidney condition called FSGS, MCD, or MN (or you are a child who has not yet had a kidney biopsy but has one of these diagnoses)
- Your urine tests show a high level of protein loss (at or above a certain threshold), either measured over 24 hours or through a spot urine test, at diagnosis or within 3 months of your screening visit
- You are already scheduled to have a kidney biopsy
Group B (No Biopsy Group — for children/young people):
- You are under 19 years old
- You have had less than 30 days of immune-suppressing medication since your condition first appeared
- Your urine tests show a significant amount of protein, along with either swelling in the body, or low protein levels in your blood (confirm with trial site for exact measurements)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously received a transplanted solid organ (such as a kidney, liver, or heart)
- You have a kidney condition diagnosis that has not been confirmed by a kidney biopsy (confirm with trial site)
- You have been diagnosed with, or show signs of, lupus (a condition where the immune system attacks the body)
- You have evidence of certain other kidney or related diseases, such as Alport syndrome, Nail Patella syndrome, diabetic kidney disease, IgA nephritis, multiple myeloma, or certain urinary tract or kidney structural problems
- You have a known serious illness at the time of joining the trial that means you are not expected to live longer than 6 months
- You are unwilling or unable to give full informed consent to take part
- You are unwilling to follow the study's required procedures and visit schedule
- You are currently living in an institution such as a prison
