Who might be able to join this trial:
If you are a healthy volunteer:
- You have no diagnosed lung conditions
- You have not smoked in the past 5 years
- If you have smoked in the past, your total smoking history is 5 pack-years or less (roughly 5 years of smoking one pack per day, or equivalent)
If you have a lung condition:
- A doctor has diagnosed you with a lung or breathing condition
- Your lung condition has not gotten suddenly worse in the past 30 days
Who may not be able to join:
- You are under 18 years old
- You have a reason why having an MRI scan would not be safe for you, based on a standard MRI safety questionnaire
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have had a bacterial or viral chest/respiratory illness within the past 30 days
- You have taken part in a different clinical drug trial within the past 30 days
- You have any known heart rhythm problem
- The special vest used for the MRI scan does not fit you physically
- You are unable to hold your breath for 15 seconds
- You may have difficulty following instructions during the scan (confirm with trial site)
