  • People aged 19 years or older
  • People who have a brain tumour located in or near areas of the brain that control important functions, where surgery to remove it may be considered
  • People whose body size and mental state allow them to safely take part in brain mapping procedures (either non-invasive or invasive)
  • People who have a non-cancerous or cancerous brain tumour that started within the brain tissue itself
  • People whose brain tumour either started in the brain or spread to the brain from elsewhere in the body

  • People who have any medical reason they cannot have an MRI scan, such as having certain implanted devices in their body
  • People whose body size or mental state would make it unsafe or unreliable for them to take part in brain mapping procedures
  • People who do not wish to take part in the study
  • People who do not have the mental capacity to understand the study or to give their own consent to participate
  • People whose neurological condition is too severe to allow the required testing to be carried out
  • People who test positive for pregnancy
  • People who have end-stage kidney disease or severely reduced kidney function
