CANTO – Breast

  • You are a woman aged 18 or older
  • You have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer confirmed by a tissue or cell sample
  • There is no sign that the cancer has spread to other parts of your body at the time of joining
  • You have not yet started any treatment for breast cancer (including surgery, even if it is already planned)
  • You are covered by a social security or health insurance scheme in France
  • You are able to read and communicate in French
  • You agree to provide extra biological samples, complete questionnaires, and share information about your healthcare use

Who may not be able to join (CANTO – Breast):

  • Your breast cancer has already spread to other parts of the body (metastatic)
  • Your breast cancer has come back in the same area (local recurrence)
  • You have had another cancer in the last 5 years, unless it was a common type of skin cancer or a very early-stage cervical condition
  • You have already started treatment for your current breast cancer
  • You have had a blood transfusion in the last six months
  • You are currently under legal supervision, guardianship, or have restricted personal freedoms

Who might be able to join this trial:

CANTO – Lung

  • You are aged 18 or older
  • You have been diagnosed with lung cancer confirmed by a tissue or cell sample, or lung cancer is strongly suspected
  • Your cancer has not spread to other parts of your body at the time of joining (if spread is found within 6 months of diagnosis, you would be removed from the study)
  • You are eligible for treatment aimed at curing the cancer, specifically surgery or radiotherapy (patients receiving only chemotherapy, only standard radiotherapy, or only stereotactic radiotherapy would not be included — confirm with trial site)
  • You have not yet received any treatment for your current lung cancer, including surgery
  • You are covered by a social security or health protection scheme in France
  • You are able to read and communicate in French
  • You agree to provide extra biological samples, complete questionnaires, and share information about your healthcare use

Who may not be able to join (CANTO – Lung):

  • Your lung cancer has already spread to other parts of the body (metastatic)
  • Your lung cancer has come back in the same area (local relapse)
  • You have had another cancer in the last 3 years, unless it was a common type of skin cancer or a very early-stage cervical condition
  • You have already received treatment for your current lung cancer
  • You have had a blood transfusion in the last six months
  • You are currently under legal supervision, guardianship, or have restricted personal freedoms
