Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
- Your pupils react normally to light (they get smaller when light shines on them).
Who may not be able to join:
- Your corneas (the clear front part of your eyes) are cloudy or not transparent.
- You have had an eye surgery involving the inside of the eye within the last 30 days.
- Your pupils do not react to light at all.
- You have scar tissue connecting the iris (the colored part of your eye) to the lens, caused by surgery or eye inflammation.
- You have abnormal new blood vessel growth in the eye.
- You have a condition called Axenfeld-Rieger Syndrome, which affects eye development.
- You have a condition called ICE syndrome, which causes the iris to waste away.
- You have a gap or hole in your iris (called a coloboma).
- The muscle that controls your pupil size has been damaged due to reduced blood supply.
- The muscle that controls your pupil size has been damaged due to an injury to the eye.
- The muscle that controls your pupil size has been damaged due to a Herpes Zoster eye infection.
- The muscle that controls your pupil size has been damaged due to high pressure inside the eye.
- You have a tumor or cyst on your iris.
- You have a condition where the inner layer of the iris folds outward (confirm with trial site).
- You have a condition called Adie's pupil, where the pupil responds very slowly to light.
- You have a condition where a nerve that controls eye movement has regrown abnormally and affects the pupil (confirm with trial site).
- You have a retinal condition combined with optic nerve damage that may affect how your pupils respond to light (confirm with trial site).
- You regularly use eye drops that make your pupils smaller or larger.
- You take regular medications that affect how your pupils respond to light.
- You have any other condition that would prevent accurate measurement or examination of your pupils.
