Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who do not have a brother or sister whose tissue type (HLA) is a full match, and whose medical team has recommended a stem cell transplant from another person but feels they are not a good fit for other currently open transplant studies at the institution
- People who have certain non-cancerous conditions that can be treated with a stem cell transplant, such as metabolic storage diseases, bone marrow failure, immune system disorders (including HLH), or blood conditions like sickle cell disease or thalassemia
- People who have certain blood cancers, including acute or chronic leukemia, lymphoma, or myelodysplastic syndrome (a disorder where bone marrow does not make enough healthy blood cells)
- People who have signed a form confirming they understand and agree to take part in the study

- People whose blood counts and organ function meet the institution's current standards (confirm with trial site)
- People who have completed the required infection screening according to the institution's current standards (confirm with trial site)
- People who are capable of becoming pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test result as required by the institution
- People who have an identified living stem cell donor who meets specific tissue-matching and health screening requirements, either through a national donor registry or from within their own family
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have an active bacterial, viral, or fungal infection that is not under control
- People who have a brother or sister whose tissue type is a full match
- People whose identified donor is unable to donate stem cells through a blood collection process (apheresis)
- People who are currently pregnant
