"Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis), or a condition that shares similar features with MS, or people with no known brain or nervous system disease.
• People who are 18 years of age or older.
• People who are able to take part in study procedures and provide good quality research data (for example, people who have had MRI scans in the past and were able to stay still enough to produce clear images).
• People who are willing to return to the NIH (National Institutes of Health) for follow-up visits roughly once a year (or once every 5 years for those without a nervous system condition) for the duration of the study. Note: participants who become too unwell to travel will not be removed from the study.
• People who are willing to donate their brain, spinal cord, and retinas for research after death (autopsy).
• People who are able to give informed consent at the time of joining the study and are willing to appoint someone to make decisions on their behalf if they do not already have a legal document in place for this.
• People who are already taking part in another related screening or natural history study within the NINDS Neuroimmunology Clinic at the NIH at the time of joining (this does not apply to those without a nervous system condition).
• Eligible NIH employees and staff may also participate.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are unwilling to allow their coded samples and data collected during this study to be shared or used in future research studies.
