Who might be able to join this trial:

Group 1 – People with melanoma that can be surgically removed (Resectable Stage II or III):

  • People diagnosed with stage IIA, IIB, IIC, or III melanoma that can be surgically removed, confirmed by a tissue test (biopsy)
  • People who have not yet received any systemic (whole-body) treatment for their stage II or III melanoma
  • People whose tumour tissue samples can be collected and stored at a specialist biological storage centre (this is optional, not required)
  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who have agreed to take part and signed a consent form

Group 2 – People with advanced or inoperable melanoma (Unresectable Stage III, Stage IV, or inoperable primary tumour):

  • People diagnosed with advanced melanoma confirmed by a tissue test (biopsy), where the melanoma cannot be surgically removed, or is stage IV (any type), or involves an inoperable primary tumour
  • People who have not previously received systemic (whole-body) treatment for their advanced melanoma, though prior adjuvant (preventive/follow-up) treatment is allowed
  • People who are receiving or have received a neoadjuvant (pre-surgery) treatment in exceptional circumstances (confirm with trial site)
  • People whose tumour tissue samples can be collected and stored at a specialist biological storage centre (this is optional, not required)
  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who have agreed to take part and signed a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

Group 1:

  • People who have declined to participate
  • People whose melanoma started in the eye (choroidal melanoma)
  • People with stage I melanoma that can be surgically removed
  • People with stage IV melanoma, an inoperable primary tumour, or inoperable stage III melanoma
  • People who are under legal guardianship or trusteeship

Group 2:

  • People who have declined to participate
  • People whose melanoma started in the eye (choroidal melanoma)
  • People with stage I, II, or III melanoma that can be surgically removed
  • People who are under legal guardianship or trusteeship
