Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, according to American Diabetes Association standards.

- People who have received a transplant of a solid organ or bone marrow at the time of their first kidney biopsy.
- People who are not expected to live for at least 3 more years.
- People with a current or recent serious alcohol or drug misuse problem that, in the opinion of the study doctor, may affect their ability to follow the study requirements.
- People who are unable to understand or sign a consent form.
- People who are currently being treated for active cancer, with the exception of a common and less serious type of skin cancer called non-melanoma skin cancer.
