Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with a solid tumor that has spread to the lungs, and there is no known treatment that can cure your cancer or has been proven to extend your life with a good quality of life.
  • You are willing to follow the study plan and take part in required safety checks, including self-reporting symptoms, home oxygen monitoring, breathing tests, and blood tests.
  • Your blood counts, kidney, liver, and lung function meet certain minimum levels as measured by recent lab tests (confirm with trial site for exact values).
  • You are between 12 and 50 years old.
  • You are able to carry out basic daily activities — your overall functioning meets a minimum level as assessed by your doctor (confirm with trial site).
  • Any side effects from previous cancer treatments have mostly cleared up before you join the study (hair loss is an exception).
  • You have not had radiation therapy in the last 2 weeks before joining.
  • If you have previously received a treatment called GCB, you may still be eligible to participate.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently using bronchodilators (inhalers) or steroid medicines, or you have active asthma — though childhood asthma that you have fully grown out of does not count.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or you are able to become pregnant or father a child and are not willing to use effective birth control during the study and for at least one month after treatment ends.
  • You have a serious uncontrolled illness, such as an active infection, certain heart problems, or a mental health or personal situation that would make it hard to follow the study requirements.
  • You currently have fever, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, or fatigue that is rated at a moderate level or above (confirm with trial site).
  • You are currently receiving other cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or biological therapy.
  • You still have significant side effects from a previous cancer treatment that have not sufficiently cleared up (some permanent side effects, like hearing loss, may be considered on a case-by-case basis — confirm with trial site).
