Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with a solid tumour cancer that has been confirmed by a medical test (not small cell lung cancer or germ cell tumour)
• You are reasonably active and able to carry out daily activities, as measured by a standard health scale (confirm with trial site)
• You have between 1 and 10 cancer spots that have spread to the brain, with no more than two of those spots being 3 cm or larger in size
• The largest brain tumour spot or surgical removal site measures no more than 6 cm across
• Your kidneys are functioning well enough, based on blood test results (confirm with trial site)
• You are in good enough general health and emotional wellbeing to complete all parts of the study, including memory and thinking tests at set points during the trial
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have had a negative pregnancy test within the last 21 days before joining
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, or a man, you must agree to use reliable contraception during the study and for 4 months after the last treatment
• You are able to give your own written consent to take part and can speak English

Who may not be able to join:

• You have been diagnosed with a brain tumour that started in the brain, such as a glioma or other primary brain tumour
• You have had brain surgery within the last 14 days
• You are planned to receive chemotherapy at the same time as the radiation treatment used in this trial
• The cancer has spread to the lining around the brain or spinal cord
• You are having more than one seizure per week despite taking seizure medication, and this has been happening for the past 2 months
• You are currently pregnant
