Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) in your mouth — specifically in the tongue, gums, cheek lining, floor of the mouth, palate, or the area behind the back teeth
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You can be male or female
- You are generally well enough to carry out normal daily activities (confirm with trial site)
- A lab test on your tumor tissue shows a low level of a specific protein called Stathmin 1
- Your cancer is at stage III or IVA (advanced but not yet spread to distant parts of the body)

Who may not be able to join:
- Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body, or you have another type of cancer
- You have already had surgery on the tumor or nearby lymph nodes (a diagnostic biopsy is the exception)
- You have previously had radiotherapy or chemotherapy
- You have had another cancer in the past 5 years
- You have serious heart or lung conditions
- You are not legally able to give consent for yourself
- Your kidneys are not filtering well enough (confirm with trial site)
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
