Who might be able to join this trial:

For people with advanced kidney cancer (aRCC) or advanced bladder/urinary tract cancer (aUBC):

  • People of any gender who have advanced kidney cancer or advanced bladder/urinary tract cancer that has spread locally, cannot be removed by surgery, or has spread to other parts of the body
  • People who are at the start of their first treatment for this advanced cancer (first-line systemic treatment)
  • People who are aged 18 or older
  • People who are able to provide written consent to participate

For people with high-risk muscle-invasive urinary tract cancer (MIUC):

  • People with a confirmed diagnosis of muscle-invasive cancer of the lower or upper urinary tract, including mixed cell types where the main component is urothelial carcinoma
  • People who had radical surgery (such as full bladder removal or kidney/ureter removal) between October 1, 2021 and October 31, 2024
  • People aged 18 or older at the time of their surgery
  • People whose cancer is considered high-risk for coming back after surgery, based on specific pathology results showing tumour and/or lymph node involvement without detectable spread to other organs at the time of surgery (confirm with trial site)
  • People who are able to provide written consent, or in the case of deceased patients, their data may still be included without consent (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

For people with advanced kidney or bladder/urinary tract cancer (aRCC or aUBC):

  • People who have already received systemic (whole-body) treatment for their advanced cancer before joining
  • People who are not receiving any systemic treatment for their advanced cancer

For people with high-risk muscle-invasive urinary tract cancer (MIUC):

  • People who had only a partial removal of the bladder or kidney as their main surgical treatment, rather than full radical surgery
  • People whose cancer had already spread to other parts of the body (metastatic disease) at the time of surgery
