Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have kidney cancer that cannot be removed by surgery, has spread to nearby areas, or has spread to other parts of the body.
• You are currently being treated with a certain type of cancer medication (a TKI, mTOR inhibitor, or immunotherapy) and have developed mouth sores rated as moderate or worse as a side effect.
• You are 18 years of age or older.
• Your kidney cancer has been confirmed by a biopsy.
• You are willing and able to follow the study rules and attend required visits.
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test before joining and must not be breastfeeding.
• If you are a woman who could become pregnant or a man whose partner could become pregnant, you must use effective birth control during the trial (such as the pill, an IUD, condoms with spermicide, or surgical sterilisation).
• You are in reasonably good general health, able to carry out some daily activities (confirm with trial site).

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a known allergy or sensitivity to folic acid (a type of B vitamin).
• You are taking more than 10 mg of prednisolone (a steroid medication) per day.
