Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are an adult (18 or older) who has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, confirmed by a tissue sample test.
  • You have had surgery to remove your entire thyroid gland.
  • You have thyroid cancer that has spread (or may have spread) to other parts of the body, or you are taking part in a program to help your cancer respond better to radioiodine treatment, and you are scheduled to receive a specific hormone injection (called Thyrogen) to prepare for a dose-measurement scan — unless your doctor has determined that scan is not needed for your care.
  • You and your doctor are planning to use radioiodine (called I-131) as a treatment if scans show the cancer is still present and responds to it.
