Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have been diagnosed with advanced melanoma (a type of skin cancer) that has been confirmed by a lab test, and your melanoma started on the skin or from an unknown location
• Your doctor has recommended you receive an immune therapy treatment called nivolumab or pembrolizumab (these are anti-PD-1 treatments)
• You have health/social insurance coverage
• You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial

Who may not be able to join:

• You are under 18 years of age
• Your melanoma started in the eye or in the moist lining of the body (such as the mouth, nose, or genitals)
• You have severe claustrophobia or uncontrolled diabetes, as these may prevent you from having a PET CT scan (a type of full-body imaging test)
• The only signs of your cancer spreading in the body are very small spots (less than 8mm), except if those spots are in the lungs
• You have tested positive for HIV, hepatitis C, or hepatitis B, or you have an active condition where your immune system attacks your own body
• You are not willing to sign or have withdrawn your agreement to take part
• The spread of your cancer to other parts of the body has not been confirmed by a lab test
