Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have cancer that has spread (metastasized) to the lungs, and it is specifically one of these three types: soft tissue sarcoma, osteosarcoma, or colorectal cancer
- You are generally able to carry out daily activities and care for yourself (your doctor rates your overall health and activity level as reasonably good)
- Your blood counts and kidney function are within acceptable ranges, including healthy enough levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets (confirm with trial site)
- Your kidney function meets a minimum level as measured by a specific blood/urine test (confirm with trial site)
- Your lung function tests show your lungs are working at least 50% as well as expected for someone your age and size
- Your blood oxygen level while resting and moving around is above a minimum safe level
- You are able to walk at least 50% of the expected distance in a six-minute walking test
- You do not feel severely short of breath, as measured by a standard breathing difficulty scale
- Your original (primary) cancer tumor is considered stable or under control, as judged by your doctor
- The surgeon has confirmed that the procedure used in this trial is technically possible for you
- The lung metastases can be completely removed or destroyed, based on review of your scans
- If you are able to become pregnant, you must agree to use reliable contraception during the study
- You are willing and able to sign an informed consent form after having the study explained to you
Who may not be able to join:
- You have received chemotherapy or radiation therapy within the past 4 weeks (or 6 weeks for certain specific chemotherapy drugs), or you are still experiencing side effects from previous treatment
- You have cancer that has spread to the brain
- You have had a serious allergic reaction or cannot tolerate the chemotherapy drugs used in this procedure
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are unwilling or unable to follow the requirements of the study
- Your lung metastases cannot be completely removed or destroyed based on your imaging scans
- You have received another experimental treatment within the past 30 days
- You have severe nerve damage in your hands or feet (severe peripheral neuropathy)
- You have any other condition that your doctor believes makes it unsafe or unsuitable for you to take part in this trial
