Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with stage I to IIIb lung cancer, or who are having surgery as part of the process of getting a diagnosis
- People who can speak, read, and understand English
- People who are scheduled for, or expected to have, a minimally invasive lung surgery (such as keyhole-style chest surgery or laparoscopic surgery) with the goal of removing the cancer
- People who have had chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment before surgery, as well as those who have not, may be considered
- People who are able to follow both written and spoken instructions
- People who understand the research nature of this study and are willing to sign a formal consent form before any study-related procedures take place
Who may not be able to join:
- People with documented heart disease, heart failure, or serious irregular heart rhythms that would prevent them from having surgery
- People whose overall health is considered too frail by their doctor, or who score above 2 on a standard medical scale used to measure how much a health condition affects daily activities (confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who are unwilling or unable to follow the requirements of the study
- People who have any other condition that, in the opinion of the study doctor, makes them unsuitable to take part
