Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with a skin cancer that has been confirmed by a tissue test (biopsy), either newly diagnosed or returned after previous treatment, and it is one of these types: squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), basal cell carcinoma (BCC), lentigo maligna melanoma, or carcinosarcoma.
  • Your cancer is located on the skin (face, scalp, arms, legs, or torso), lips, or eyelids.
  • Your tumor measures 7 centimeters or smaller at its widest point.
  • Your tumor can be fully covered by the treatment seeds used in this trial (confirm with trial site).
  • Your disease can be measured using standard imaging methods known as RECIST v1.1 (confirm with trial site).
  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You are generally well enough to carry out basic daily activities without much difficulty (confirm with trial site).
  • Your doctors expect you to live for more than 6 months.
  • Your blood platelet count and blood clotting levels are within an acceptable range (confirm with trial site).
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have a negative pregnancy test result.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your skin cancer is one of these types: keratoacanthoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, or a sarcoma other than carcinosarcoma.
  • Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic disease).
  • You have other serious health conditions that your doctor believes could interfere with the trial results, such as poorly controlled autoimmune diseases or vasculitis.
  • You are currently taking medicines that suppress your immune system on an ongoing basis (short, occasional use of steroid medications may be acceptable — confirm with trial site).
  • You have taken part in another clinical trial involving a treatment in the past 30 days that could affect this trial's results.
  • Your doctor believes you are unlikely to be able to follow the trial's requirements.
  • You are not willing to sign the consent form.
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
