Who might be able to join this trial:
For people with glioma (a type of brain tumour):
- People who have been diagnosed with or are planned to be treated for a WHO grade II, III, or IV diffuse glioma (a range of brain tumour types, from lower to higher severity)
- Adults aged 18 years or older
- People who are planned to have a tissue sample taken to confirm their diagnosis
- People who are reasonably able to care for themselves day-to-day (confirm with trial site)
For people with brain metastases (cancer that has spread to the brain):
- People who have between 1 and 4 brain metastases and are being considered for surgery or a targeted radiation treatment called stereotactic radiosurgery
- People planned for surgery who are either suspected of having brain metastases or already have a confirmed diagnosis
- People planned for stereotactic radiosurgery who have a known primary cancer (the original cancer in another part of the body)
- Adults aged 18 years or older
- People whose doctors estimate they are likely to survive at least 3 months after joining the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a pacemaker or defibrillator that is not compatible with a 3 Tesla (3T) MRI scanner
- People who are unable to give informed consent, for example due to significant difficulties with speech or thinking
- People who are pregnant (a pregnancy test may be required for women of childbearing age if there is any uncertainty)
- People who are currently breastfeeding
- People who weigh more than 120 kg
