Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who were diagnosed with their liver condition before the age of 18.
• People who have been diagnosed with a condition on the NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) spectrum, which can include fat in the liver with or without inflammation or scarring.
• People whose diagnosis was confirmed by an imaging scan (such as an ultrasound) showing fat in the liver, along with tests that ruled out other causes of liver disease, and/or a liver biopsy showing fat affecting more than 5% of the liver in a pattern consistent with childhood-onset fatty liver disease.

Who may not be able to join:

• People whose fatty liver disease is caused by another underlying condition, such as a glycogen storage disorder, Wilson disease, viral hepatitis, a medication, autoimmune hepatitis, or type 1 diabetes.
• People who developed fatty liver disease after receiving an organ transplant.
• People who consume more than 20 grams of alcohol per day (roughly one to two standard drinks, depending on the drink — confirm with trial site).
