Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are at least 18 years old
- People who are able to understand what the study involves
- People who are able to give their informed consent to participate
- People who have a suspected or confirmed cancer of the upper reproductive tract (such as the uterus, ovaries, or fallopian tubes) and are scheduled for surgery to remove the tumour
- People who have previously had a cervical abnormality treated with a procedure called LEEP or cone biopsy, provided a Pap smear taken at least 4 months after that treatment came back with normal results
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had a hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus)
- People who are pregnant or who may be pregnant
- People who are currently breastfeeding, as the device used in the trial contains certain chemical compounds (called phthalates) that may raise concerns about reproductive and developmental effects
- People who have an infected or inflamed cervix
- People with a confirmed or suspected infection in the pelvic area
- People with a confirmed or suspected vaginal infection
- People who have recently experienced a uterine perforation (a tear or hole in the uterus)
- People who have had a cervical abnormality treated with LEEP or cone biopsy, but have not yet had a normal Pap smear result at least 4 months after that treatment
