Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been newly diagnosed with a suspected brain tumour (WHO Grade 2–4 glioma, based on scans) and are suitable for a surgical procedure that would provide a tumour sample alongside a blood sample.
- People who have a previously diagnosed brain tumour (WHO Grade 2–4 glioma) that has come back or grown, with those who have frozen tumour tissue already stored being given priority for detailed genetic analysis.
- People who have given written agreement to take part in the study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose tumour starts in the spinal cord rather than the brain.
- People who are currently being treated for another type of cancer.
- People for whom an MRI scan is not safe or suitable (for example, due to certain metal implants or other medical reasons).
- People who do not have standard scan results available as part of their usual care.
