Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 90 years old
- People who are able to understand and are willing to sign a written consent form
- People who have a papillary growth in their bladder found during a camera examination (cystoscopy) and are scheduled for a surgical procedure to remove it, OR people who have been confirmed by tissue testing to have muscle-invasive bladder cancer that is contained to the bladder and can be surgically removed with the aim of curing it
- People who are generally active and able to carry out daily activities with little to no limitation (confirm with trial site)
- People with kidneys that are working well enough to meet the trial's blood test requirements (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a severe allergic reaction to either of the contrast agents used in this trial (gadobutrol or ferumoxytol)
- People with severe claustrophobia that would prevent them from completing an MRI scan
- People who have a medical device, implant, or pacemaker inside their body that is not safe to use with an MRI machine
- People whose cancer is known or suspected to have spread to other parts of the body
- Women who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- People who currently have an untreated urinary tract infection
- People with a known narrowing of the urethra (the tube that carries urine out of the body) that would prevent a catheter from being inserted
- People with any other condition that the treating doctor considers to be an unacceptable risk
