Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with urothelial carcinoma (a type of bladder cancer) or had it return within the last 3 years, and are currently being monitored at low, intermediate, or high risk of recurrence.
  • People who are willing and able to attend 4 study visits and provide a urine sample at each visit.
  • People who are able to provide a urine sample by urinating naturally into a container (samples collected through a catheter tube are not accepted).
  • People who are able to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part.
  • People who are willing and able to follow all study requirements.
  • People aged 18 years or older.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have had their entire bladder surgically removed, or who have a surgically created replacement bladder or urinary diversion (such as an ileal conduit).
  • People who have previously had a bladder tumour that had grown into the muscle wall of the bladder (confirm with trial site if unsure whether this applies).
  • People who are currently pregnant.
  • People who have had a procedure involving the urinary tract (such as a cystoscopy, catheterisation, or urethral dilation) within the last 14 days — enrolment may need to be delayed until at least 14 days after the procedure.
  • People who currently have a urinary tract infection or have had one within the last 14 days — enrolment may need to be delayed until the infection has fully cleared.
  • People who have received bladder-directed immunotherapy or chemotherapy within the last 6 weeks — enrolment may need to be delayed until at least 28 days after the last treatment.
