Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with early-stage uterine (endometrial) cancer and are scheduled to have a procedure to check nearby lymph nodes for cancer spread (called a sentinel lymph node procedure).
- People who have been diagnosed with early-stage cervical cancer and are scheduled to have a sentinel lymph node procedure.
- People whose lymph nodes are being tested for cancer using one of two standard laboratory methods to look for signs of spread.
- People whose lymph nodes have been found to contain cancer cells, whether a larger amount (macrometastasis) or a smaller amount (micrometastasis or isolated tumor cells).
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had another type of cancer (other than a common non-serious form of skin cancer) within the past 5 years, or who currently have another cancer at the same time.
- People whose endometrial (uterine) cancer has reached an advanced or widespread stage.
- People whose cervical cancer has reached a locally advanced or widespread stage.
