Who might be able to join this trial:

For patients:

  • Adults who have recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour called glioma (graded 2 to 4 on the WHO scale) and are planned to have a 6-week course of radiation treatment after surgery
  • People who are able to complete questionnaires written in English
  • People who have had a brain MRI scan (with and without contrast dye) after surgery, taken within 4 weeks before radiation treatment starts

For caregivers:

  • Adults aged 18 or over who are accompanying a patient who has already agreed to take part in this trial
  • People who are able and willing to complete questionnaires written in English

Who may not be able to join:

For patients:

  • People whose cognitive (thinking) or mental health difficulties make it too difficult to complete questionnaires, as assessed by the trial staff during an initial evaluation
  • People whose general health and physical functioning is too low (as measured by a medical score called the Karnofsky Performance Status, below 60) to be able to complete the questionnaires

For caregivers:

  • People whose cognitive (thinking) or mental health difficulties make it too difficult to complete questionnaires, as assessed by the trial staff during an initial evaluation
