Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) in the head or neck area, confirmed by a biopsy
- Your cancer can be at any stage and in any part of the head or neck, including cases where the cancer has come back or is a new cancer in a different location
- You are scheduled to have surgery with the goal of curing your cancer as part of your standard treatment
- You are 18 years of age or older
- Your doctors expect you to live for more than 12 weeks
- You are well enough to carry out most daily activities with only minor limitations (confirm with trial site)
- Your blood, kidney, and liver are working well enough to meet specific test result requirements, including healthy levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and kidney function (confirm with trial site for exact values)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have taken part in another experimental drug study within the last 30 days
- You have had a heart attack, stroke, or uncontrolled heart failure within the last 6 months
- You have previously had a serious reaction during an IV infusion of any antibody-based treatment
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have an abnormal heart rhythm shown on a heart tracing (ECG) test (confirm with trial site)
- Your magnesium or potassium blood levels are below normal
- You are currently taking certain heart rhythm medications, including quinidine, procainamide, dofetilide, amiodarone, or sotalol
- You have a history of scarring or inflammation in your lungs
- Your thyroid hormone levels are above a certain limit shown in a blood test (confirm with trial site)
