Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer on one side of the thyroid gland, and have a non-cancerous nodule on the other side, confirmed by a pre-surgery needle biopsy guided by ultrasound.
- People whose non-cancerous nodule on the other side measures 20mm or smaller and is located within the thyroid gland.
- People who have no signs of cancer spread to the lymph nodes in the neck, as confirmed by physical examination and neck ultrasound.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had surgery on their neck.
- People who have previously had radiation therapy to their neck.
