Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have brain scan (imaging) results that suggest you may have a fast-growing brain tumor called a high-grade glioma
- A recent MRI scan with contrast dye (taken within the last 60 days) shows a tumor mass, and a neurosurgeon has confirmed you are a suitable candidate for a laser treatment procedure called LITT
- You have had a full physical and neurological (nervous system) check-up within the last 30 days
- You are able to carry out basic daily activities and care for yourself to a reasonable degree, as assessed by your doctor within the last 30 days
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have read and signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- If you could become pregnant or get a partner pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 6 months after it ends
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have had a negative pregnancy test within the last 28 days
Who may not be able to join:
- You are not considered medically suitable for a stereotactic biopsy (a type of brain tissue sample procedure) or laser ablation surgery
- You have serious heart problems, including uncontrolled irregular heartbeats, or have had a heart attack, severe chest pain, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, stroke, mini-stroke, or a blood clot in the lungs within the last 6 months
- Your tumor is located in the lower part of the brain (below a structure called the tentorium) or has spread to the lining of the brain or spinal cord
- You are unable to have an MRI scan for any reason
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
