Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a medical history showing muscle weakness that comes and goes, along with a tendency to tire easily
- Your blood tests have come back positive for certain proteins (called AChR or MuSK antibodies) that are linked to myasthenia gravis (MG)
- If those blood tests were negative, a specific nerve test (called repetitive nerve stimulation at low frequency) has shown abnormal results instead
- You are currently in a crisis — meaning your MG has gotten severely and rapidly worse, to the point where you need a breathing tube or breathing support machine to help you breathe
- You are in an impending crisis — meaning your MG is getting rapidly worse and your doctor believes you could go into a full crisis within days to weeks, and your blood oxygen levels are low (below 95%) or your carbon dioxide levels are too high
Who may not be able to join:
- Your nerve stimulation test showed a very large increase in response (over 100%) after high-frequency stimulation, which may suggest a different condition (such as Lambert-Eaton syndrome or a congenital form of MG) rather than the type this trial is studying (confirm with trial site)
- You are on a breathing tube or breathing support machine only because of routine recovery after surgery — not because of a MG crisis
