Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are either a COVID-19 patient or a healthcare worker who has experienced trauma related to their job
- You speak English
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are in a stable enough physical health condition to participate
- You have been diagnosed with PTSD or a milder form of PTSD that does not fully meet the standard diagnosis (confirm with trial site)
- You are able to understand and agree to participate, and can complete surveys and assessments accurately
- You have been on the same psychiatric medications for at least the past 60 days without changes
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a serious ongoing physical health condition that would prevent you from attending sessions regularly or completing assessments
- You are currently considered by the research team to be at risk of harming yourself or others
- You have ever been diagnosed with, or currently have, schizophrenia or another condition involving psychosis (a break from reality)
- You have taken part in another clinical trial or been receiving an established treatment for PTSD or other mental health conditions in the past 3 months
- You have a history of motion sickness or seizures
