Who might be able to join this trial:
- People diagnosed with laryngeal cancer (affecting the voice box, including the glottic, supraglottic, or subglottic areas) or hypopharyngeal cancer (affecting the lower throat, including the pyriform sinus, postcricoid, or posterior pharyngeal wall areas)
- People with cancer at stage T1, T2, T3, or T4
- People aged between 18 and 90 years old
- People of any gender
- People who are able and willing to follow the study schedule and requirements
- People who do not have other serious illnesses that could affect treatment, such as other cancers or severe heart, lung, or nervous system conditions
- Women who could become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test before joining
- People who are able to have children, or who could become pregnant, must agree to use contraception throughout the study and for at least 6 months after the last dose of the study medication; this criterion also applies to women who are post-menopausal or who are not able to become pregnant (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed with an immune system disorder, HIV, or AIDS-related illness
- People with a known history of active tuberculosis (TB)
- Women who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- People whose treating doctor considers it unsuitable for them to take part — for example, those with serious ongoing medical conditions such as immune colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, non-infectious pneumonia, or pulmonary fibrosis, or those with mental health conditions including active or recent (within the past year) suicidal thoughts or behaviour
